Local News in Brief : Tear Gas Ends Standoff at Canoga Park Home
Aman held police at bay outside a Canoga Park home for about five hours Wednesday before surrendering to a special weapons and tactics team that fired tear gas into the home, police said.
The unidentified man, in his 20s, was hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation, Los Angeles Police Officer M. A. Snowden said. No weapons were found in the house on the 23300 block of Hartland Street and no one was injured, Snowden said.
The incident began about noon, he said.
