A 30-year-old Thousand Oaks man was being held on $1 million bail Saturday after being arrested on suspicion of shooting a woman with a stun gun, tying her up, then demanding that she give him her house, a spokesman for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said.

Sgt. Bob Larson said Tony Morgan Amundson is suspected of breaking into an unidentified 47-year-old woman’s Thousand Oaks home about 6 p.m. Friday and waited for her to return. Amundson, who knows the woman, is accused of shooting her with a stun gun when she arrived home, handcuffing her, covering her mouth with tape and dragging her into a bedroom, Larson said.

He then allegedly demanded that she sign papers deeding her house over to him, which she agreed to do, Larson said. He untied her and left, returning about 20 minutes later with his wife, Larson said.

During his absence, Larson said, the woman called sheriff’s deputies, who arrested the suspect when he returned. His wife was not arrested.

The woman homeowner, who suffered cuts and electrical burns to her back, was treated at Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks and released.

Amundson was being held on suspicion of attempted murder, kidnaping and extortion, Larson said.
