Behind the one-hit pitching of Susan LeFebvre, the Cal State Fullerton softball team defeated Cal Poly Pomona, 2-0, in the first game of the best-of-three NCAA Division I West Regionals at Titan Field Friday.

The game was scoreless until the top of the sixth inning when the Titans (51-9-1) scored two runs. Alani Silva's single with the bases loaded drove home Rina Foster, and Terri Oberg scored on Rhonda Wheatley's error.

The series continues today with the first game scheduled for 1 p.m. Connie Clark (16-2) will pitch for the top-ranked Titans and Wheatley (31-16-1) will start for the Broncos. If a second game is necessary, it will begin at 3.
