A Bob Hope guest shot on “Miami Vice”?
Nothing’s signed, but a deal’s been struck between Hope and Don Johnson, according to a spokesperson at Hope Enterprises: “It’s as firm as anything between two stars would be. I don’t think anybody’s going to argue with somebody of Johnson’s stature.”
Last season Hope did a takeoff on his NBC special called “Miami Nice,” with himself as Sonny Crockett. He sent a photo of himself in Crockett attire and stubble--and scrawled across it, “This is how you are going to look 50 years from now.” When the two met in April, Johnson suggested they do a show together. Johnson did a bit on Hope’s May 19th birthday special--and Hope will repay the debt.
