Three CSUN Golfers Named All-America
Three Cal State Northridge golfers have been named to the NCAA Division II All-America team and CSUN Coach Bill Cullum has been named the NCAA’s District 8 coach of the year.
The CSUN golf team finished third in the NCAA Division II Golf Championships this season. Cullum has been selected three times as the national coach of the year. Northridge, making its 14th appearance in the title tournament, was unranked before the season began and went into the national championship ranked ninth in the nation.
Sophomore Pat Boyd, senior Jon Levitt and freshman Tim Hogarth were each named to the All-America squad. 11 Southern Section Names Softball All-Stars
Eleven Valley-area softball players have been named to the 1986 All-Southern Section first team.
Delores Decker and Dawn Hatnaker of Newbury Park were named to the 4-A team. Barbara Hofer of Burroughs and Lesley Plank of Burbank were also selected to the 4-A team.
Jennifer Kroll and Robin Long, both from Alemany, were named to the 2-A squad. Calabasas’ Carolynn Blake and Michele Marcione were selected to the 2-A team along with Susie Duane of L.A. Baptist and Michelle Vail of Village Christian.
Tracy Murray of Campbell Hall was selected to the Small Schools first team.
