Fire Levels Resort Hotel

NEW SHOREHAM, R.I. —
Ballard’s Inn, a popular Block Island hotel, was destroyed in a fire Thursday, but officials on the resort island said all occupants of the oceanside inn were evacuated safely. Fire officials had not determined the cause of the blaze.
