Girl With Boyfriend’s Heart Doing Well
The teen-age girl who received the transplanted heart of a love-struck boy has been sent home from a San Francisco hospital after a minor episode of organ rejection.
Donna Ashlock, 15, is in good condition although she will continue on medication to prevent another attempt by her body to reject her heart, which was donated by a high school classmate.
Felipe Garza Jr. died of a brain hemorrhage last year after predicting his own death and telling his parents he wanted his heart to go to Ashlock who was suffering from degenerative heart disease and awaiting a donor.
