My husband and I looked forward to seeing “Fiddler on the Roof” on KTLA, but we were both heartily disappointed. The film was so extensively cut it appeared to be a loosely strung together set of musical excerpts. Those of us who have seen the entire film can recognize the excerpts as coming from “Fiddler on the Roof” in sequential order. Thanks to KTLA, my husband, who had not previously seen the film, still has no understanding of the basic plot.
