Blushing All Over Wins at Hollypark
Blushing All Over, ridden by Darrel McHargue, started slowly and gradually ran past her rivals to win the $40,000 feature race Wednesday at Hollywood Park by three-quarters of a length over Folk Art, ridden by Pat Valenzuela.
Cenyak’s Star, with Gary Stevens in the saddle, was another 1 1/2 lengths back in the mile turf race for fillies and mares.
The winner ran the mile in 1:34 2/5. Sent off as the fourth choice by the crowd of 16,015, Blushing All Over paid $12.60, $5.60 and $4.80. Favored Folk Art paid $3.80 and $3, and Cenyak’s Star returned $6 to show.
Valenzuela rode four winners: Snow Cream in the second race, Coffee Roll in the third, Al’s Big Time in the fifth and Mille Et Une in the sixth.
