SEAL BEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL RELOCATES

Share

The Seal Beach Chamber Music Festival, which has been held for the past 11 years at the Mary Wilson Library, will move to a new location beginning Wednesday.

The move to the Church of Religious Science, 500 Marina Drive in Seal Beach, was prompted by a city requirement that festival administrators purchase “extensive liability insurance--which we couldn’t afford,” said Margaret White, chairwoman of the Orchestra Guild, a support group for the music series.

“So we will move the festival for the rest of the season to the church, which already has liability insurance,” White said. She said that plans for the location of future seasons are uncertain, except that “we want the festival to continue.”
