Blue Razor Wins at Hollywood Park
Jockey Gary Stevens drove favored Blue Razor into the lead out of the gate and widened it on the far turn to score a wire-to-wire victory Wednesday in the $40,000 feature race at Hollywood Park.
Blue Razor finished 3 1/2 lengths in front of Floating Reserve, ridden by Pat Valenzuela. Prince True, with Chris McCarron in the saddle, finished another 1 3/4 lengths back in the mile turf race.
Blue Razor, carrying 115 pounds, was timed in 1:33 3/5.
Sent off the favorite by the 16,230 fans, Blue Razor paid $4.80, $3.20 and $2.60. Floating Reserve paid $4.40 and $3, while Prince True returned $3 to show.
