Preliminary tests of two Westside beaches found no public health threat from contaminated storm drain runoff, but more testing is scheduled for next week. Surf around the two storm drains on Will Rogers state beach and a Santa Monica city beach was tested after the City of Los Angeles released a report showing high levels of coliform bacteria. A decision whether to post warning signs will be made after next week’s tests are analyzed, the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services said.
