Neighbors Cry Fowl as Sidewalk Quacks

PARMA, Ohio —
There is a right place and a wrong place to feed ducks. The wrong place is on a public sidewalk.
Joseph Amos, 68, pleaded no contest Wednesday in Parma Municipal Court to obstructing a sidewalk while feeding his ducks. The original charge of creating a public health hazard was dropped, but he could still be fined $100 when he is sentenced on Aug. 19.
Residents complained that Amos was attracting pigeons and creating too much noise in the neighborhood. He now feeds the ducks inside his garage.
