Aeromexico is offering two round-trip flights daily (one flight only on Thursday) from Los Angeles to Tijuana. The 45-minute flights are $49.

Ed Hogan, owner and founder of Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays, will star in a $1-million TV production, a commercial to bolster traffic to his favorite (his only) destination, Hawaii. This is part of the over $11 million the travel company will spend this year promoting winter vacations to the islands.

The Bon Voyage Travel Club will present a film-discussion on “Exotic Adventures: From the Amazon to the Arctic” on Aug. 15 at 7:45 p.m. at the Bank Community Room, 9696 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills. Admission is $5. For information call (213) 472-5726.

The fourth annual Central Coast Wine Festival is scheduled for Aug. 30 from noon to 4 p.m. in the Mission Plaza, San Luis Obispo. Thirty-five wineries will participate. Tickets are $15. Air Polynesie will offer a 21-day reduced-fare Air Pass for travel to many islands of French Polynesia beginning in October. For $315 passengers can use the pass for one-way, round-trip or circle trips such as from Papeete to Moorea, Huahine, Raiatea, Bora Bora and Rangiroa and Manihi in the Tuamotu group and return to Papeete. UTA French Airlines, Air New Zealand and Qantas fly to Tahiti.

The third annual “All California Beer and Sausage Tasting” will be held at the Mount View Hotel in Calistoga, Calif., next Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Seven California breweries will participate.
