Van Nuys Man Dies After Severe Beating

A 31-year-old Van Nuys man died two days after he was severely beaten on a Pacoima street corner by a group of men who then stole his car, Los Angeles police reported Saturday.
David Michael Cole was pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m. Friday at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, Sgt. John O’Neal said.
Cole was beaten in the chest by four or five men just before midnight on Wednesday at Borden Avenue and Paxton Street, O’Neal said.
Cole’s car was found two days later in Van Nuys.
