The Region : Disaster Area Designated
Riverside County was formally declared a disaster area by the U.S. Small Business Administration, an action that makes victims of the early July Palm Springs earthquakes eligible for low-interest federal disaster loans to repair and replace their uninsured damage. Along with the declaration, Robert Belloni, SBA area disaster director, announced that the agency would establish a loan counseling office in the Community Service Building next to the Riverside County Fire Station at 63775 Dillon Road, North Palm Springs, beginning at 9 a.m. Monday.
