‘Ignorant’ People Who Visit L.A. Art Museums

Share

I cannot always correctly spell or pronounce half the artists whose works I have enjoyed for many years. Not being an art intellectual has not deterred me from emotionally experiencing the excitement and beauty of famous paintings.

I have been in much larger crowds in art galleries in San Francisco, Paris (I did think of Van Gogh’s ear) Madrid, Rome and Florence than the crowd experienced by Tuck at our Los Angeles County Art Museum.

I was grateful to be among the relatively few people in the United States to attend the Impressionist to Early Modern Paintings from the U.S.S.R. exhibit. Tuck should have been grateful too.
