The Boston Red Sox sent pitchers Mike Brown and Mike Trujillo to the Seattle Mariners, completing a deal made last week in which they acquired shortstop Spike Owen and outfielder Dave Henderson. Part of the trade also had shortstop Rey Quinones and a minor league player to be named later, plus an undisclosed amount of cash, going to Seattle.

Brown, a right-hander, was 4-4 with a 5.34 earned-run average in 15 games for the Red Sox. Trujillo, also a right-hander, spent the entire 1985 season with the Boston Red Sox and was 4-4 with a 4.82 ERA.
