18th Inning Gives It to Astros

CHICAGO —
Billy Hatcher hit a home run with one out in the top of the 18th inning today, leading the Houston Astros to an 8-7 victory over the Chicago Cubs in the completion of a suspended game from the day before and ending the longest game in the majors this season.
The game, featuring 27 players for Chicago and 26 for Houston, broke the major-league record of 51 for the most players used by both teams.
