Michaels Leads Pacific Over New Mexico St.

STOCKTON, Calif. —
Senior fullback Steve Michaels rushed for 119 yards to lead University of the Pacific to a 41-14 victory over New Mexico State in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. game Saturday.
Michaels led Pacific, the nation’s seventh-ranked rushing team, to a team total of 264 yards rushing and 420 yards total offense.
Pacific had four rushing touchdowns, two from senior running back James Mackey. Pacific held New Mexico State to 250 yards in total offense.
