Tennis star Martina Navratilova denied in court that she assaulted a photographer in 1982, saying she grabbed his camera without touching him.

Navratilova, testifying for the second day in the New York State Supreme Court, also said she had warned free-lance photographer Arthur Seitz to stop taking pictures of her before grabbing his camera at the 1982 U.S. Open in Flushing Meadow.

Seitz, who claims that Navratilova bent back his left arm, seriously injuring his shoulder and elbow, is suing her for $2 million. Navratilova is countersuing for $4.5 million, claiming that she suffered physical and emotional harm in the encounter. A six-member jury is hearing the civil suits simultaneously.
