A Nicaraguan baseball team, scheduled to play four college teams in California, postponed its departure until Saturday when two sports officials temporarily could not get U.S. visas.
Rolando Cerda, sub-director of the Nicaraguan Sports Institute, said the U.S. Embassy denied visas to him and to Danilo Aguirre, an official of the Amateur Baseball Assn. who was supposed to preside over the delegation.
Carlos Tunnermann, Nicaraguan ambassador to the United States, has assured promoters that the team will make the trip.
