Cleon Jones, former New York Mets outfielder, was given a 10-year suspended sentence after pleading guilty to first-degree assault charges.
Jones was charged with assaulting Bondena Taylor, 27, and her uncle, Howard Coleman, 49, in a shooting incident at Mobile, Ala., in August 1985.
