A fire that started in a car storage area caused $35,000 in damage to three stores in Burbank on Monday night, but caused no injuries, the Burbank Fire Department reported.

The blaze in a building housing the three stores in the 400 block of Victory Boulevard broke out at about 6:15 p.m. and was extinguished 13 minutes later, said department spokeswoman Susan Marchman.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, she said.
