Woman Dies in Fire at Pasadena Duplex
An elderly woman was killed in a Pasadena duplex fire that heavily damaged her apartment. Her two sons and a man living on the other side of the duplex escaped injury but were unable to rescue her, police said.
The victim, Virginia Bryant, 79, was a heavy smoker and investigators believe she may have started the fire by smoking in bed.
