Local News in Brief : San Fernando Cyclist Hits Dump Truck, Dies

A 19-year-old San Fernando man died Thursday night when his motorcycle slammed into the rear of a dump trunk making a left turn on Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Pacoima, Los Angeles police said.
His name was not released pending notification of relatives. The accident occurred about 6:20 p.m. near the boulevard’s intersection with Louvre Street, said Officer Bill Mulvihill.
