Local News in Brief : 2 Surrender, Held on Suspicion of Murder
Two men, including a Canoga Park man wanted in the slaying of a Simi Valley woman this week, surrendered to Ventura County sheriff’s deputies Friday.
Held in lieu of $250,000 bail each at Ventura County Jail were the Canoga Park man, Gregory Barnes Watson, 26, and Mark Aldon Holmes, 25, whose town of residence was not available, said sheriff’s Sgt. Tom Convery.
An arrest warrant was issued for Watson on Wednesday as a suspect in the shooting death Monday of Hope Rodriguez, 49, and the wounding of Jose Salinas, 36, Simi Valley police have said.
Both men were held on suspicion of murder, but police did not explain Holmes’ involvement.
