Rolf Jacobs Dropped From Arizona Team

TUCSON — Rolf Jacobs, a reserve forward suspended by University of Arizona basketball Coach Lute Olson last week, was dropped from the team Monday, apparently for two incidents in which he elbowed teammates.
“He’s been dismissed for disciplinary reasons, and beyond that I have no comment,” Olson said.
Olson said he expected Jacobs, a 6-foot 7-inch junior from Fountain Valley High School, to transfer to another school.
Jacobs played in 22 games with the Wildcats as a freshman and in 29 in 1985-86, including two early-season starts. However, he also broke the nose of guard Craig McMillan during a practice session last year and was warned.
