The Stanford marching band, suspended for on-field antics that included some members dropping their pants, others urinating, and the entire band in an offensive formation, will be allowed to play during Saturday’s Big Game with California at Berkeley.

Athletic Director Andy Geiger cut short his two-game suspension of the band after extracting a game-day sobriety pledge from the 160 musicians.

“That means there won’t be any beer and doughnuts for breakfast like we usually have,” said Jeff Stevens, the band’s manager.
