Walnut : Funds for Wall Approved
The City Council has approved spending $7,500 for designs for a 1,800-foot-long wall along Collegewood Drive at the base of the hill behind Buckland Drive.
The purpose of the wall is to keep surface dirt and seeping water from underground springs from running down the slope, creating a pool of stagnant water and mud on the sidewalks along Collegewood.
The project would cost an estimated $100,000 and would be built with redevelopment funds.
