A man slain Monday in a fight outside a home in Sunland was identified Tuesday as Phillip Boswell, 24, of Agoura Hills.
Boswell was stabbed during the course of “a very trivial argument over a piece of clothing” in the driveway of the suspected attacker’s residence in the 10900 block of Scoville Avenue, Los Angeles police Detective Al Ferrand said.
Police have contacted authorities in Maryland and Pennsylvania in search of the suspect, Rance Douglas Bardin, 26, Ferrand said.
Bardin arrived in California about four months ago after leaving Pennsylvania, where he recently had been paroled from prison, Ferrand said. Bardin had an earlier conviction in Maryland, Ferrand said, although he would not detail the crimes.
