Louisiana State basketball Coach Dale Brown, who just lost two scholarships because of National Collegiate Athletic Assn. violations, said he may leave his job to become a television sports announcer.
The Baton Rouge State-Times quoted Brown as saying he is conferring with three television networks.
The often-outspoken coach told the newspaper that although he had no desire to leave LSU, “The system needed cleansing.”
He said he could not live up to the remaining five years on his contract under current conditions and, when asked if it was possible he might leave after this season, said: “Yes, very, very . . . yes, there is a chance.”
