Motorcyclist Dies After Hitting Truck
A motorcyclist rode into the rear of a pickup truck stopped at a train crossing in Chatsworth on Sunday and was killed, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
The victim, whose name was withheld until his family could be notified, was traveling north on De Soto Avenue at approximately 80 m.p.h. before hitting the truck, Officer Ed Burns said.
The truck was stopped on De Soto Avenue, north of Nordhoff Street, while waiting for a train to pass, Burns said.
