Cal State Fullerton Moves Into Top 20
Cal State Fullerton, off to a 6-1 start, was ranked 20th among the nation’s college basketball teams in voting Monday by the UPI Board of Coaches. The Titans, in the top 20 for the first time this season, are tied with Duke.
“I think we’ve earned it, considering we played five teams (Texas Tech, Texas Christian, Brigham Young, Pepperdine and Washington) that played in postseason tournaments last year,” Fullerton Coach George McQuarn said. “But I want to keep it in perspective.”
Nevada Las Vegas (9-0) was ranked No. 1 for the third straight week.
