Altadena : Longer Hours at Library
The board of trustees of the Altadena Library, 600 E. Mariposa St., has voted to extend library hours on Mondays beginning Jan. 5. The new hours will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.
No extra costs will be involved in the extended hours, said Bill Tema, district librarian. Altadena is not part of the county library system. The annual budget of $800,000 comes from local property taxes.
