San Clemente : Man Arrested After Allegedly Firing Shots

Share

A special weapons team Wednesday evacuated neighbors and arrested a 25-year-old man who reportedly had fired several shots inside his apartment.

Police Officer David Michaels said Albert Reisert, 25, fired a .22-caliber rifle in his home in the 100 block of Avenida Miramar at 1:30 a.m. Police surrounded the three-unit apartment building and helped the residents leave.

Reisert was arrested a few hours later without resistance, police said. At least two shells and holes were found in Reisert’s apartment, Officer Russ Moore said. The bullets did not penetrate the walls and nobody was injured.

Reisert was booked into the San Clemente Jail on suspicion of discharging a firearm in a dwelling, and bail was set at $10,000.

Police said Reisert had been arrested last summer on suspicion of shooting into his apartment.
