Dana Point : Burglars Get Jewels, Clothes Worth $50,000
Burglars took $50,000 in jewelry and clothes from a Dana Point home where a family slept after just returning from a skiing trip, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
Abdollah Khole told sheriff’s deputies that his family had returned from a Lake Tahoe trip early Sunday evening and left their luggage in the front room of the house, in the 3300 block of Blue Lantern Street. Burglars entered the home during the night and took several suitcases that contained $50,000 worth of jewelry and clothing, Sheriff’s Lt. Richard J. Olson said. The burglary occurred between midnight and 8:30 a.m. Monday.
