Local News in Brief : Sun Valley Woman, 21, Shot to Death
A Sun Valley woman was shot to death early Thursday morning, and police were looking for her boyfriend, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman said.
Maria De Los Angeles Magana, 21, was shot in the upper body in a house in the 11000 block of Cohasset Street.
Police were trying to find Manuel Rios, 27, of Sun Valley, a suspect in the shooting, the police spokesman said.
After a roomer in the house attracted the attention of a passing police car, officers found Magana on the floor in the living room. She was pronounced dead by paramedics.
The roomer said Magana and Rios had been arguing just before the shooting, police said.
