5 Children Die in Fire Tied to Electrical Malfunction

ERIE, Pa. —
An electrical problem in the kitchen apparently sparked a fire Saturday that gutted a single-family house, killing five children who were sleeping in a second-floor bedroom and injuring their 30-year-old mother, fire officials said. Firefighters said the two-story house was engulfed in flames when they arrived.
