Local News in Brief : Decomposed Body Found Near Castaic
Detectives investigating a month-old missing-person report found the decomposed body of a man in a remote area near Castaic on Monday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The cause of death was unknown pending an autopsy, Deputy Drew Basey said.
The identity of the victim and the location where his body was found was being withheld while homicide detectives interview possible suspects, Basey said.
Evidence uncovered during the missing-person case provided investigators with the exact location of the body, which was found at 11:40 a.m., Basey said.
