A 37-year-old San Diego woman died Saturday after she was struck a day earlier by a hit-and-run driver while crossing El Cajon Boulevard in a crosswalk.
Donna Lee Harney was hit by a silver-gray sports car at El Cajon and Felton Street at 10:05 p.m. Friday, a San Diego police spokesman said, adding that the car headed west after the accident.
Harney died at Mercy Hospital, where she had undergone surgery for multiple internal injuries in the head and abdomen, according to the county coroner’s office.
The investigation is continuing.
