The Many Reasons Why Football Tops Baseball

In response to Thomas Boswell’s list of reasons why baseball is better than football (Morning Briefing, Jan. 16), football is the better game. He must have forgotten that:

--”The greatest game ever played” was a football game (Colts vs. Giants for 1958 NFL championship).

--America’s team is a football team (Cowboys).

--Football coaches know better than to wear their team’s uniform (are you listening, Mr. Lasorda?).

--Have you ever seen Tom Landry spit or scratch in public?

--Football teams have cheerleaders.
