Instead, Pros Took Shots at the PGA West Course

After reading your accounts of the crying by the pros and seeing them tee it up on the white (not blue or black) tees at the PGA West sixth hole, I suggest the tournament be renamed “the Wimpy,” have McDonald’s as a sponsor, and change the venue to the Palm Springs Municipal Course (no traps or water) and several executive courses in the area. Then, even the most inept “pro” can shoot the 64s and 65s he is sure his adoring public would like to see.

Football players aspire to the Super Bowl, baseball players the World Series, track men the Olympics and pro golfers a “59” on an Arizona cow pasture.
