Bailey Says He Will Attend UCLA; Fullerton Signs 5

Jeff Bailey, a 6-foot 5-inch, 265-pound tackle at Fullerton High School, has made a verbal commitment to attend UCLA next fall. The first day a player can sign a national letter of intent is Feb. 11.

Bailey was a two-year starter at Fullerton and also plays first base on the Indians’ baseball team. He made visits to Colorado and Arizona State and canceled trips to Nebraska and Washington.

Cal State Fullerton has signed five more community college football players to national letters of intent.

Offensive tackles Kevin Bernell (Fresno Community College) and Dennis Ellis (Southwestern Junior College), linebackers Damon Culbertson (Bakersfield Junior College) and Troy Grimes (Walla Walla Junior College) and defensive tackle Brent Napierkowski, also of Walla Walla, have signed and will enroll for the spring semester.
