Guard Isiah Thomas of the Detroit Pistons was among seven players named by Eastern Conference coaches to complete the East squad for the All-Star game.

Thomas, an All-Star in each of his six seasons, was named the game’s most valuable player in 1984 and 1986.

Also chosen to the East team were forwards Charles Barkley of Philadelphia and Kevin McHale of Boston, centers Robert Parish of Boston and Bill Laimbeer of Detroit and guards Jeff Malone of Washington and Maurice Cheeks of Philadelphia.

The East starters are Larry Bird of Boston and Dominique Wilkins of Atlanta, Moses Malone of Washington and Julius Erving of Philadelphia and Michael Jordan of Chicago.

The NBA’s 37th All-Star game will be played Feb. 8 in the Seattle Kingdome.
