Walnut : Hunt for Maintenance Yard
Anticipating the need for a maintenance yard larger than the one-acre yard now in use on Pierre Road, the City Council has authorized a search for a new location. Estimating that it will need about 2.37 acres, the city has set aside $2.2 million for the purchase, design and construction of a new building and yard. Possible actions include leasing property adjacent to Mt. San Antonio college’s maintenance yard, buying the current site and an adjacent parcel, buying a site on Carrey Road zoned for manufacturing, and considering a parcel at Amar Road and Lemon Avenue.
