Atlanta Falcon Coach Marion Campbell hired two former head coaches, Rod Dowhower as offensive coordinator and Jim Hanifan as “assistant head coach for offense.”
Dowhower was offensive coordinator on Hanifan’s staff in St. Louis in 1983-84, when the Cardinals averaged almost 400 yards a game in total offense. Dowhower went to Indianapolis in 1985 and was fired last season.
