Smoky Fire in Bank Tower Forces Evacuation of 3,000

INDIANAPOLIS —
An electrical fire in the 36-story Indiana National Bank tower sent smoke streaming through the building Tuesday and forced the evacuation of more than 3,000 workers and noontime shoppers, fire officials said. Firefighters extinguished the blaze in two hours and damage was confined to the fourth, fifth and sixth floors.
