Los Angeles 65, Grant 45--Forward Larry Lewis scored 16 points, center Chris Knight had 15 points, 14 rebounds and eight blocked shots and forward Orlando Holloway added 14 points to lead Los Angeles over Grant at Los Angeles.

Los Angeles, which led 36-23 at halftime, went up by 20 points with 53 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

Grant Coach Howard Levine was impressed with the play of the 6-8 Knight. “We really haven’t gone against a guy that big all season,” Levine said. “He intimidated us.”

Guard Danny Enowitz led Grant with 12 points. Teammates Chris Weber and Mike Fried added eight each for the Lancers (11-11). Center Jason Schirn had eight rebounds and six assists, both team highs.

Grant surprised many people when it upset Eastern League champion Lincoln in the opening round of the playoffs.

“I have to believe we did very well this year,” Levine said. “And we have to believe we can do better next season. We will do better.”

Los Angeles (15-9) will play Birmingham (21-2) on Friday.
