Long Beach-Fullerton: Both Need Win
Neither team will be at a loss for motivation when Cal State Long Beach plays at Cal State Fullerton tonight in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. basketball game at 7:30.
Long Beach (7-10 in the PCAA, 12-17 overall) needs a victory to assure itself a place in the conference tournament next week at the Forum. Fullerton (8-9, 15-11) needs a win to escape having to play top-ranked Nevada Las Vegas in the first round of the tournament.
If the Titans win, they will most likely open the tournament against UC Irvine, but seedings for the conference tournament may not be determined until after Monday night’s game between UC Santa Barbara and Fresno State.
